I see my eyes as dark as a starless night
My skin, soft, and detailed as grains of sand
Hair jet-black, nappy, tightly twisted –
Like the fronds of a grape vine
A figure curvy, pear-shaped, lumpy, firm
Centred
A harsh rooted, earthbound exterior
A soft and gentle flighty interior
I feel a thousand sorrows
And a thousand and one joys
A person bound to my own expectations
Yet, free beyond belief!
Like broken shards of metal
Reformed to form a ring
A scarred beauty
Erupting colours
Visions unseen
A revolution of the heart
Evolution from the past
Dissolved illusions of the present
Rainbows forming
Legions of tribes dawning
A lover yawning
An invisible mother mourning
